Program (DSPP) -- the successor to HP Computing's Solution Provider
Program, where IRI was one of the original, and premier, members (as well as a certified Level II Power Partner for HP-UX 11). CoSort was
among the first products in HP's Mainframe Alternatives Program,
and the first commercial sort product ported to HP-UX for both the
PA-RISC and Intel (Itanium) platforms. CoSort has also supported
HP-acquired Unix flavors, including Ultirx/RISC, OSF/1, Digital Unix,
Compaq Tru64 Unix, and, Tandem Non-Stop UX. CoSort is now also certified on HP-UX 11i v3. |
| Informatica
Corporation |
|
Informatica ETL users can accelerate their high data
volume transformations using CoSort's sort control language (SortCL)
program outside of PowerMart and PowerCenter e.g., to speed
sorts, joins, aggregations and loads. Thanks to an IRI membership
in the Informatica Developer Network, PowerMart and PowerCenter
users on Unix and Windows can accelerate their sorter Tx (sort transformations)
with a direct plug 'n' play replacement -- up to a 10X speed improvement
using the CoSort engine! |
| Intel
Corporation |
|
IRI is an Associate Partner in the Intel® Software
Partner Program. for HP-UX 11i and Linux64 operating systems. CoSort
customers may achieve dramatic pre-load sort and ETL performance
gains in very large database (VLDB) and data warehouse (and e-commerce
"data webhouse") environments using Itanium 2 processors
in parallel (SMP mode). |
| International
Business Machines |
|
IRI is an IBM Advanced Business Partner. CoSort was
the first commercial sort product ported to IBM AIX -- to the RT
in 1987, the RS/6000 in 1989, the ES/9000 in 1991, OS/390 in 1997,
POWER3-6, Linux and OS/400 PASE for the iSeries in 2001, Linux on
zSeries mainframe partitions in 2003, and Linux on pSeries in 2004.
CoSort was certified "ServerProven"
and is listed with IBM's National Solutions Center and PartnerWorld
for Developers programs.
CoSort is the favored destination for IBM DF-SORT users in MVS and VSE JCL environments migrating to AIX, Linux and Windows. The IBM merger with Sequent also provided access to CoSort, the
first sort ported to DYNIX/ptx, for the record-setting TPC-H DSS
benchmark. IRI's Fast Extract (FACT) tool is now
also available for DB2, and the CoSort Load Accelerator (CLA) library
for DB2 replaces the sort routine within UDB 7&8's loader, speeding
loads with no intervention or tuning. The exclusive CoSort sort stage plug-in for IBM Websphere DataStage
-- and the MIMB metadata bridge between DataStage and CoSort file metadata
-- improve transformation performance in high-volume data
warehouse ETL environments. |

solution that empowers organizations with real-time business intelligence.
Through one, easy-to-use interface, iDashboards gives decision makers
access to key performance indicators (KPI) and metrics needed to
monitor operations, improve performance, and align strategic objectives
with day-to-day activities. IRI and iViz Group have partnered to
show how CoSort’s high-performance detail and summary report
outputs can be easily visualized in various iDashboards, and now
IRI can resell iDashboards to CoSort users. |
| Melissa
DATA |
|
Melissa Data provides data quality solutions with an emphasis
on address and phone verification, postal encoding, and data enhancements.
Melissa Data's data quality tools, including Address Object, can
run directly with CoSort thanks to the field-level transformation
library support in CoSort v9's SortCL program. Through this integration,
companies can plug Melissa Data’s data quality libraries into
CoSort data transformation, reporting and security jobs, and run
everything together in the same input/output stream |
| Meta
Integration Technology, Inc. (MITI) |
|
MITI is the leading "Metadata Component Provider" to
major database, data integration, business intelligence, repository,
and modeling tool vendors. Now among the many metadata migration
links in MITI's Meta Integration Model Bridge (MIMB) software are
export bridges to CoSort's SortCL and RowGen data definition file
(DDF) repositories. Now it is easier than ever to transform and
synthesize high-volume file system data because the metadata
ETL architects already own can be automatically created for
CoSort tool use without cumbersome manual redefinitions. |
| Micro
Focus |
|
IRI is a member of the Micro Focus TechLink Program,
and provides both Windows and Unix users with faster drop-in replacements
for MF COBOL's sort verb and runtime system sort in the Workbench,
Net Express, and Server Express environments The SortCL program in CoSort can
collate and convert MF COBOL data types and I-SAM and variable
length file formats. COBOL programmers can also call SortCL and
other CoSort (system and library) routines. IRI's RowGen tool can create test files in MF COBOL record and data formats, and the new FieldShield software can protect sensitive fields in MF COBOL files through encryption, masking, and other techniques. |
| Micro Focus (formerly Acucorp) |
|
A member of Acucorp's Complementary Technology Program
(CTP), IRI has developed native support in CoSort for the Vision
file format in ACUCOBOL-GT applications, and provides a drop-in
replacement for the ACUCOBOL-GT sort verb on Unix and Windows. The same tools described above for MF COBOL can also work in the ACUCOBOL environments. |
| Microsoft
Corporation |
|
As the first commercial sort package available for
MS-DOS, OS/Warp, and Windows, CoSort is recommended by Microsoft
consultants, Intel Labs, and PC Week as one of the fastest and most
robust sort solutions for mainframe sort migration work and SQL
Server loads. IRI frequently participates in Microsoft Developer Network programs. |

5 -- IRI joined Novell's PartnerNet program and had CoSort "YES!
Certified" for SLES 9, further opening CoSort's marketability
for high-performance sorting and ETL operations in Linux server
environments. |
| Oracle
Corporation |
|
IRI is a member of the Oracle Technology Network (OTN),
and a regular exhibitor at ECO, IOUGA, and OpenWorld user conferences.
IRI's Fast Extract (FACT) software for Oracle rapidly unloads large database tables to flat files for migrations, reorgs, reporting, ETL and archival. FACT also creates metadata for immediate CoSort transformations, reports, and pre-load sorts, along with SQL*Loader control files so that Oracle DBAs and DW architects can perform faster, simpler, and less expensive reorg, CDC, and ETL operations in the file system.
With or without FACT, pre-CoSorting large files speeds direct path loads.
IRI's RowGen product can read database models to create intelligent, pre-sorted Oracle test data in structurally and referentially correct formats. |
| Red
Hat, Inc. |
|
As the first open systems sort and ETL accelerator to support
Linux on Intel x86, Itanium, RISC, and IBM iSeries and zSeries mainframe
partitions, CoSort supports Red Hat Linux on all platforms.
Registered in the Red Hat Alliance program, IRI's CoSort and FAst
extraCT (FACT) solutions are not only compatible, but demonstrate
beautifully and rapidly together on Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems
running Oracle 9i. |
| SCO
Group, Inc. |
|
One of IRI's first commercial Unix platform targets
for CoSort was SCO Unix. IRI was the first to develop and support
parallel sort software for both SCO OpenServer and SCO UnixWare.
