CoSort-compatible tools like Fast Extract (FACT) for Oracle, the RowGen test data generation package, and the NextForm data migration tool, all leverage the same data definition metadata used in SortCL. In addition, Meta Integration Technology, Inc. (MITI) also supports IRI's data definition syntax.

Users of MITI's Meta Integration Model Bridge (MIMB) can automatically convert their flat-file descriptions coded in DSX, XMI, XML, and many other ETL and BI tool formats into the .DDF metadata used in CoSort, RowGen, etc. This allows users to preserve their metadata investments and make faster use of IRI's performance-enhancing technologies.
